Do YOU think you can live below the line?
I first found about the Live below the line campaign, thanks to BzzAgent. This campaign challenges everyone who participates to drink & eat on just $1.50 for 5 days. That’s a total of $7.50.
I liked the idea. I feel as if, you can see the world partly through their eyes. Like we’re over here spending a whole $7 or more on Chipotle or going to restaurants or fast food restaurants. & about 1.4 billion of individuals are eating and drinking merely $1.50 a day. I’d like to experience this challenge.
Why am I taking this challenge?
In today’s world, extreme poverty and inequality are unjustifiable and unfair. Lets understand what life is like for the billions who survive on just $1.50 a day on food & drinks. Lets experience it for 5 days. It won’t hurt you. Take the challenge. Live Below the Line demonstrates the problem in a concrete way, while raising money to address the problem. Support me as I live below the line by donating now – your generous support will go towards fighting extreme poverty.
I’m supporting…Shot@Life.
The description about Shot@Life according to the website is as follows: “ educates, connects and empowers Americans to champion vaccines as one of the most cost-effective ways to save the lives of children in developing countries. A national call to action for this global cause, the campaign rallies the American public, members of Congress, and civil society partners around the fact that together, we can save a child’s life every 20 seconds by expanding access to vaccines. By encouraging Americans to learn about, advocate for, and donate vaccines, the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign will decrease vaccine-preventable childhood deaths and give children a shot at a healthy life. “
I wish to gain $300 for Shot@Life, even more.
Did you Know that….
- A child dies every 20 seconds in developing countries of a disease that can be prevented by a vaccine
- The number of children dying every year from preventable diseases in developing countries is nearly equivalent to half the children entering kindergarten in the U.S.
- & others.
I love kids. I want to become an early childhood education teacher. So just the thought that most kids die because they don’t get vaccines they need is sad.
